Umbilicus rupestris also known as pennywort, penny pies, etc is confused with Centella Asiatica..Brahmi we already discussed. Very hardy, easy to grow variety. The difference between them is Brahmi has a slit on its leaf structure whereas Pennywort is a full circle. It survives in marshy lands and flourishes in water bodies and damp areas. Though this variety is edible and has medicinal value, it is not so potent as Brahmi.
