Portulaca Grandiflora – The local names are Chini gulab, Moss rose, Eleven o clock rose is a succulent variety which means less water and sun worshipper.  It blooms maximum in hot summer months. Needs to taken care and kept away from rains during our heavy rainy monsoon season to avoid root rot. Low maintenance plant, can be easily propagated through cuttings, comes in innumerable colours. It is generally used in hanging pots and for ground covers.
