*White Onion* is grown in Maharashtra exclusively in India. It is used widely to be eaten raw and in salads bcos of its milder flavour in comparison to the other types of onions ie., red, yellow and brown.
Bcos of its white colour, it has vitamin C in good amts but lacks sulphur, calcium and iron. It has white papery skin and hv mellow sweet flavour.
Red onion is the most potent of all onions bcos of its high sulphur, calcium and iron contents compared to all other onions.
