*Agnishikha* found in our and African and Asian forests bloom during monsoon. It is a perennial climber that grows out of rhizomes. It is called Agnishikha which in Sanskrit means flames of the fire and the flowers look like it is on fire🔥. Every part of the climber is highly toxic and can be fatal to all living beings on consumption.
If any thorn or poisonous substance enters body, a paste of this shrub roots r applied will get the foreign substance out along with the gangrene set in. It is used as an antitode for snake bites by tribals.
It is Tamil Nadu’s state flower and locally called “Karthigapoo”
