*Salient features*
*Madhumalati*, a creeper found in tropical Asia is also a medicinal plant widely used in Ayurveda. It is a night blooming fragrant flowering creeper and its uniqueness is its blooms in white colour which slowly changes to pink and lastly becomes dark pink. It blooms from April to Oct/Nov in bunches. Nowadays they come in multi petal flowers as well and a different garden drawf bush pot variety is also available…the leaf is smaller in this variety. The regular variety prefers ground and will bloom only once it climbs to a 3-5 feet above ground. *This is one of the 21 medicinal plant leaf offered to Ganpati during the present festivities.*
