Every plant that is grown in our house, esp in our home garden in pots can be manured twice a year ie in February and September of every year. Depending on the plant and pot size, natural manure of about 2-3 tsps to a fistful can be applied to the pots away from the main stems. The top layer can be dug up and manure sprinkled all round and again covered in soil. It can also be applied in liquid form by soaking the manure overnight to help the plants absorb the same immediately.
Basic types of natural manure applications are
1. Year old cow dung manure
2. Vermicompost
3. Home compost
4. Goat manure in very small quantities
5. Bone meal in small quantities to flowering and fruiting plants
6. Mustard, ground nut cakes, etc to flowering and fruiting plants.
7. There r many other natural manures available in market and can be tried depending on specific requirement and suitability to your plants viz sea weed solution, fish emulsion, etc
