In continuation of our tips on pests management, detailing *Brahmastra* making. It is one of the easiest and very effective method of making natural pest repellent with minimum ingredients easily available in our surroundings.
Take an big earthen pot, take 5 litre cow urine, any of the below mentioned 6 different types of tree leaves that cows don’t eat…mashed up/ground 1/2 kg neem, 1/2 kg mango leaves, 1/2 kg karanj, 1/2 kg mandar/rui leaves, 1/2 kg castor leaves, 1/2 kg datura leaves, 1/2 kg guava leaves, 1/2 kg jamun leaves, 1/2 kg Seetaphal leaves, 1/2 kg papaya leaves, 1/2 kg marigold leaves, 1/2 kg mehendi leaves, etc. By mashing and cooking in low fire, the essence of the leaves gets released to the cow urine and becomes a potent natural pesticide.
Heat it lid covered for 1 hour in low fire. Keep it aside for 48 hours in shade stirring it clockwise morning and evening. After 48 hours, filter and store for use for 6 months. Dilution for use proportion will be 1 liter water with 50 ml *Brahmastra.*
These r some of the very effective solutions that work. Timely application is crucial for plant survival. It can also be easily prepared at homes and stored to spray to house plants. Repeated fortnightly/monthly spray on infestation prone plants is recommended.
