*Originally from Mexico, now naturalized all over tropics and sub-tropical regions as a weed with immense medicinal benefits. Though not used as an edible plant, it is used primarily used medicinally for skin ailments, wounds and cuts, insect repellent, hair growth, etc…fresh leaf juice is applied on wounds to stop bleeding. In ayurveda, it is used for liver disorders, arthritis, heartburn, etc.
