We have all seen Kanchan tree growing in our surroundings, but above picture is of the huge, rarely seen, gigantic Kanchan creeper which we had the privilege of seeing recently.
It is India’s biggest and very invasive flowering creeper with many varied uses (grows over 70+ ft). It is found in Himalayan Range and now found in all our tropical forests as well.
The seeds r eaten raw or cooked as a pulse. It acts as a tonic and aprodislac as well. The leaves r converted to dinner plate.
