Madhuca Longifolia/Indica/Mahua is a flowering and highly medicinal tree. This blooms around March March and the seeds start falling down after maturity. Collect them and disperse them in forests or any suitable place to grow. These highly valued seeds are beneficial for oil extraction for cooking and medicinal use by Indian tribals in Central, Western and Southern India. Some of its uses are in treating skin ailments, piles, hypertension, diabetes, etc. These fast growing Desi trees should be popularised and grown everywhere especially in arid regions because each part of the tree is useful as food or medicine.
