How to get healthy peace lily
Peace lillies like good draining soil which drains out water quickly.
Peace lily also require indirect bright light …not to be kept in open sun or direct sunny spots…if exposed to sun, there can be leaf yellowing.
This plant is very susceptible to root rot due to over watering. So feel the soil with fingers to see if fully dry…then water thoroughly…after that wait for it to get bone dry again and leaves to droop before watering again.
Besides that, it needs very minimum care by way of manuring twice a year in February and September. Can give Epsom water spray inbetween to nourish it. Since they origin from rainforests of Columbia and Venezuela in warm humid climates, giving them a shower of water instead of watering only the roots will be more beneficial and make them happy.
It is one of few indoor flowering plants as most flowering plants require sun exposure. Incidentally, they r called peace lillies as they look like “white flags of peace”.
They are also supposedly notified by NASA as air purifying plants which remove lot of toxins from air
